Are you engaging in a neck and neck battle for supremacy in your life?

It is entirely possible you have lost track of the purpose of the work you set out to do to create your life in the first place.

Consider some recent stats about college sports I come across in the USA...

A top coach who makes $6.9 million dollars a year in college American football.

A weight training coach who makes more than $6,000 a week.

A dozen non profit universities spending more than $100,000,000 a year on their athletic programs... and make a note here... these are "non profit" universities.

What Is It For?

If winning is the point... and winning can be purchased with any money that is available... then I suppose it makes sense to those who are willing to spend such vast amounts of money to obtain some form of kudos.

Yet often... winning is a proxy for something else.

After all... what is the REAL reason you want to WIN at anything?

Why do you engage in a... "personal arms race"... for success?

I think it makes sense to figure out what that is before you spend a penny.

Why you are doing what you are doing... and for what PURPOSE?

Why are you willing to invest in the "personal arms race" for success?

Does spending ten times as much give you ten times as much of what you set out to create in the first place?

Is BIGGER The Real Purpose Of The Goal?

Is first place the only way to get to where you are going?

What is the point of so "degrading" your life... that the "winning" of the prize has cost you the "quality" of your life?

So... be very certain of "your purpose" and what "you want to acquire" in your life... when you enter the "personal arms race" of success... what EXACTLY are you wanting to win?

Because once you enter this race...you have to continue to move forward... the moment you decide to stand still... the rest of the competition goes by you very quickly.

You May Not Realise It Yet...

SUCCESS is an industry... as I have read in the discussion of college sports and that is one athletic directors take.

And SUCCESS has been turned into an "arms race" in all manner of ways... not just college sports.

Even LOVE has been turned into an industry... an arms race for success.

When in doubt... try not to turn your mission into an industry.

DEFINE YOUR PURPOSE!

Because... if you do not... you will always be distracted.

What are you giving up in order to win a game... if you did not sign up for in an industry you do not need to dominate?

Better to do the work that is "worth doing"... living a HIGH QUALITY life you "love" and "enjoy" living.

Then be engaged in a "personal arms race" for success?

And what is "success" anyway?

Can you define it for me...

What would be more important to you.

Quality of life... or success?
