The “Do Gooder” Is The One Who Makes Things Worse

Every group... committee or organization has at least one “well meaning” person... the “do gooder” who is pushing to make things more "average"... and "mediocre" for every one else... and “kills” off "creativity!"

The Mantra Of The “Do Gooder”... The Zombie Makers...

“On behalf of our selves... the masses... the uncommitted and  the ones who do not care... we need to dumb “creative” and “radical ideas” down... smooth out the edges and make it more “average”... and “mediocre” to be inclusive of all...  we need to oversimplify it... make it a bit banal... stupid even... if we do not... then some people will not get the joke... will not be satisfied... feel excluded... or worse... complain... we play it “safe"... and do not rock the boat... we cannot have people being able to THINK... be CREATIVE and be RESPONSIBLE for themselves” ~ The Do Gooders.

And... by amplifying their voice of being “reasonable”... he or she gets under your skin and you back off... at least a little... so instead of doing “inspiring” and “great” work... you make your work “average” and “mediocre”... “dumb” it down... and make it “worse”... to appease the “do gooder.”

This is the TV executive who demands a trite plot... with the usual “stereotypes” and “plot line”... played by the usual “middle of the road”... actor types.

This is the record producer who wants the new “middle of the road” song to sound a whole lot like the previous “middle of the road” song.

This is the charity executive who fears that the new campaign will offend some minor donors... so we will “play it safe.”

This is the “political idealist”... who wants us ALL to be the same.

Yes... it is true that the “remarkable”... “edgy”... “creative stuff” you wanted to make was not going to be embraced by everyone... yet “everyone” is rarely the point any more... it is those you want to “connect” with that counts and matters... not everyone... and this is were the “do gooder” completely “sabotages” the "creative idea."

Not everyone... is EVERYONE... everyone is made of “different” tribes of “individuals"... with “different personalities” and  IDEAS... who will either make a CHOICE to LOVE your "creativity" and "ideas" or will hate them... and it is better to be "hated" for being DYNAMIC with a MISSION and a PURPOSE... then "average" and "mediocre"... in other words... BENIAL and pointless!

And that is what the “do gooder” are...  pointless... they pretend to be an “idealist” when really they are nothing more than an “utopian idiot”... who constantly gets in the way of EXCELLENCE and PROGRESS by being the purveyor of “average” and “mediocrity”... by playing it SAFE!

The Really CREATIVE IDEAS And Progressive Work Is Out At The Edge... 

So... in the service of “honest” and “sincere communication”... perhaps the “do gooder”... the one who makes things “worse”... is to “acknowledge” that this is what he or she does for a living... consistently  “screws it up” for others.

Now... that way if you want things to be more “average”... more “mediocre”... more “benial”... more “safe”...  and completely KILL any "opportunity" for "success"... the guaranteed "lose... lose" all round... you will know who to ask. 

And... you will also "know" who to “avoid” when you want to CREATE something NEW... DYNAMIC... EXCITING... RISKY... and GAME CHANGING... out at the CUTTING EDGE... going for the WIN WIN!
