The Law Of Principles Or The Law Of Control?

There can come a point when your project... your goal... the moment... the world becomes so chaotic or appears dangerous to you that you are willing to apply the law of control.
The question is... when?
When is it time to declare martial law... or your version of it?
When do you abandon your project plan because there are people in your life who are hysterical?
When do you let go off the long term goal?
When do let go of the drip by drip approach to growth because cash flow is tight?
When do you suspend one set of valued principles in order to preserve the thing you set out to build in the first place?
When people are at their most megalomaniacal... they are willing to suspend any principles in their way to preserve what they see as control... anyone building a project or pursuing a goal that seems to be failing can fall into the same trap... it can feel as though this time... it truly is the end of the road and what have you got left to lose and throwing away the very principles that is getting you were you want to go... is very tempting indeed.
You have probably met people who declare this sort of emergency ten times a year.
History is filled with examples of people who pushed the “control” button too soon... and few instances where people stuck with their principles for too long.
And have you ever noticed... it is those who stuck to their “principles” through thick and thin who finally acquire their “success!”
They resisted the temptation to hit the “control” button and quit just as they were about to succeed.
These men and women stick to their “principles” and take the extra steps that is required... and gain their success of the WIN WIN!
