How to OVERCOME ANXIETY In 3 Simple And Powerful Steps

Are you one of the many people who suffer from "anxiety" and low personal confidence when you find yourself in a situation you feel uncomfortable with?

In this article I am going to share with you a the basics of a method that I use for my clients in Dynamic Life Development Systems that can help you take a BIG step forward to help you deal with your anxiety and have a lot more confidence just by reading about and understanding this simple and powerful method.
 
I will be sharing more of these simple yet powerful methods with you that will help you build your personal confidence in the future.

Dealing with ANXIETY... 

Whether it was approaching a pretty woman... standing up to speak in front of a group... being on a job interview or doing something daring and new... I used to be so CONTROLLED by fear that my personal esteem and confidence used to be in the gutter... and I never used to be like that when I was a younger man... events happened in my life that knocked me side ways and it become depressing... how my personal confidence and esteem crashed.

The biggest mistake I used to make that would lock me up with anxiety... shut me down and make me want to just run and hide was feeling anxious and afraid and then IMAGINING how bad things were about to go... I become well and truly stuck in a "negative mind set"... and all this did was to amplify the fear... give me tunnel vision and make me feel like I was naked... vulnerable and about to be attacked.

That was before I really understood that fear is completely natural and cannot be avoided... it is in our genetic make up... an instinct... one that can save your life and it can also totally ENSLAVE you like it did me for many years... and it is not a good way of living when your mind becomes unhealthy.

So you "see" yourself afraid and having done it anyway... when in fact it has only happened in your own Imagination and nothing has happened at all in real life.

Now... what is it you have to change... well the answer is actually very simple... yet it takes a lot of self discipline to put into action... because the way you "think" has become a self sabotaging habit... so what is it you have have to transform... 

Your Perspective...


STEP 1... What To Change...

The secret to overcoming a fear is just a simple yet powerful change in PERSPECTIVE

The good news is that it is not about talking yourself into things or forcing yourself to do stuff that makes you uncomfortable... see most of the time when we are contemplating or actually facing a fear... we think about it from the perspective of looking forward in time and ANTICIPATING what could go wrong... and depending upon the perceived risk involved... your past experiences and how high your level of anxiety gets... the fear can be so consuming that it feels like your life is being threatened... you know... the lump in your throat... sweaty cold hands... nervous facial twitches and a mind and  body that is saying "NO... STOP!"

STEP 2... Simple Technique...

Well here is THE TRICK... relax your body... breath deeply and imagine something that makes you anxious and afraid. 

Any situation. 

Now imagine a "time line" that goes out into the future to the left or right... rise above it in your mind... like floating in a hot air balloon and fly forward in time while looking down on yourself... then come back down and land at a point in time after you have faced and dealt with the scary situation.

Next... LOOK BACK in time and see yourself getting a little nervous and doing it anyway... see how you felt your fear and dealt with the situation regardless... notice how it really was not all that bad... you got through it and things turned out okay... really SEE yourself having walked right through the fear... took the action and you were still safe... secure and satisfied... play it over in your mind a few times to let it sink in... imagine what you will have been doing... saying... how you behaved... your body language... what happened... etc.

Now... rise up above it all again in the hot air balloon and go back in time to the present moment... again imagine the situation with this NEW AWARENESS that you will be perfectly fine facing the situation. 

Notice that the fear has diminished... maybe even evaporated.

STEP 3... Do This...

Practice this a few times with something small to get the hang of it and then try it on something bigger. 

What you will find is that you can apply this technique to ANYTHING... you can do it right in the moment when a scary situation is about to happen... or even better... practice on SEVERAL occasions having already seen yourself deal with it successfully so that when it does actually occur you will be ready... relaxed and self assured.

The more you apply this simple method to deal with your anxiety... the more calm and confident you will become in all kinds of situations that used to make you NERVOUS and afraid... after awhile you will have become so good at it that you will be  doing all sorts of cool things that you previously avoided or totally screwed up...

And you will find your personal confidence and esteem growing... it is easy... simple and free. 

And it works the more you practice it... and take the actions to make it happen!
