Do You Waste Your Time With These Useless Mental Habits?

Often it may seem to you as though you never have enough time... yet do you ever “think” about and even consider... “why?” 

That it is YOU indulging in "wasteful behaviours" that “burn” up your "time" for no "possible purpose." 

To be more "productive" with your "time" and "create" more done that "benefits" you... stop indulging in these completely futile "mental activities"... that “wastes” your time and energy.

Here are wasteful “negative" metal activities that you can live without...

1... Thinking and trying to mind read what other peoples thoughts are...

Until such time as we develop the ability to be “telepathic” and read each others "minds"... you are wasting a huge amount of "time"... trying to “imagine” what others peoples "thoughts" are... you will never really know what other people are "thinking"... so why are you bothering wondering? 

Why not do the simple thing... and "ask them?"

And even if you could read "minds"... it is not your business to be in there unless you have been invited anyway.

2... Thinking how life would be different if only you had...

Since the possibility of time travel has not be developed yet and time exists as it is... "constructing alternate timelines" is wasting the "time" you still have left... unless you are going to make one of those "time" lines ACTUALLY happen... thinking about “if only I had done this” is a total "waste of your time." 

Yes... "learn" from your "mistakes"...  keep your "attention" on where you are "now" and where you are "wanting to go." 

The past cannot be changed... so move on.

3.... Thinking only the worst that could happen...

The worst probably will not happen...80% of what you worry about never happens and the 20% of what you should really be “focusing” on... you "neglect"... so "imagining the worst" all the time is a BIG waste of "mental energy." 

If the worst really did happen... it would probably be a lot worse that you are capable of imagining... because you never "invested" any "time" preparing for the worst case scenario... preparing to have a plan in place for when the worst case happens... is a POSITIVE and "productive" use of you "time"... not just wasting time “thinking” about it.

4.... Thinking about things you have no responsibility for...

Take for example... the economy... there is nothing that you can do personally that is going to change the economy. 

And even if you could change the economy... worrying about it would still be useless.

Never worry about things you have no "responsibility" for... "focus your energy" instead on what you do have "responsibility" for... and make them BETTER!

5... Thinking and getting angry at others behaviours...

Heating... and winding yourself up because of other people's thoughtless behaviours is "time" flushed down the drain. 

Unless there is something you can pro actively do to improve the situation in a "positive" way.. best to move on... both "mentally" and "physically."

6... Thinking of the wrong your parents did to you...

Billions of therapy hours have no doubt been consumed reviewing and discussing what mothers and fathers did wrong and could have done differently... in most cases though... you are who you are because you are CHOOSING to be who you are. 

Yes... Mum and Dad were not perfect... nor are you...  deal with it and move on.

7... Thinking about magic and  hocus pocus...


When there is a REAL world to "learn... know... understand" and "experience!"

8... Thinking Negatively and complaining about things outside your control...

Complaining has some point... perhaps inside a customer service survey or a product you brought that is not up to the standard promised... other than that... complaining about anything or anybody... including weather... politics... neighbours... co workers and illness... is throwing away precious asset... TIME... that you will never get back.... will never get a refund on... get a second go... if you are going to complain... make it a useful "constructive complaint" that can be "acted" upon to "produce" a "positive outcome."

9... Thinking everything to be perfect...

Perfection does not exist in the real world... never has and never will... so expecting everything to be perfect and being a “perfectionist”,,, is not only a BIG time waster... it is a "time waster" that is guaranteed to end in disappointment.

10... Thinking and being involved in arguments with strangers...

Sometimes difficult and "constructive" debates are necessary to maintain "relationships" and move "forward" together.

Arguing with somebody you do not know... is absolutely absurd... nobody ever "changed" an opinion because some stranger "proved" that they was wrong.

So “why” are you arguing?

If you were to keep a “time record" of all the hours you "waste" engaged in these activities I have mentioned... you would be staggered just how much of your "time" you "waste" away doing “nothing.”

Time is you most “precious” asset... do not “waste” it on negativity.

Invest you time in being “productive” in “positive” ways that "benefit you."

As always... leave a man or woman all the "better" for "knowing" you.
