Most people know that water is a calorie free beverage yet you may not be aware that it has a vital role in the health of your body metabolism and weight control.

Whether it is hot or cold... drinking plenty of water throughout the day can help your body function at its best and encourage weight control and even weight loss!

Water carries vital nutrients to cells and flushes toxins from the body and protects delicate tissues in the ears... nose and throat... since water is free of calories... when you drink it as a replacement for soda... juice... lattes and other calorie rich beverages... you could drop close to 1 pound a week.

Did you know that by drinking 2 litres of water a day... your body will burn 100 calories just by processing the water you have drunk in your body... staying fully hydrated while eating a healthy balanced diet and exercising... plus getting enough sleep will help you burn body fat and keep it off... just by simply drinking more water and making no other changes is not enough to burn off body fat and maintain a healthy body metabolism...  you need to be watching your calorie intake too.

Water Facts...

Water is the basis for every chemical reaction that takes place in your body... including the control of your metabolic rate which helps in the processing and burning of calories... you can live without eating any food and on water alone for 30... 40 days... yet if you go without water in any form for more than 3 days... 4 at a stretch... you will die. 

When you are not taking in enough water... your body cannot do its job efficiently... if the only liquids you consume are coffee... tea... sodas... artificial fruit juices and the like... you will become mildly dehydrated... forcing your body to slow down its metabolism to compensate... a slow water starved metabolism will not process calories efficiently.

Water And Calorie Processing Facts...

Weight loss can only be accomplished when you are giving your body the water it needs in addition to enough nutrients... if you want to process calories efficiently and lose weight... you need to consume between 1200... 1500 calories per day if you are a woman and 1500... 1800 calories per day if you are a man.  

Your healthy eating consists of fresh vegetables... lean proteins... whole grains... fruit and essential fatty acids like those found in olive oil and nuts.  

Drinking at least 1 litre of water each day helps your body do its job of circulating nutrients and  flushing out toxins and extra water... like 2 litres a day helps your body in the process of  burning body fat.

Water is such an everyday liquid... yet absolutely essential for a healthy body metabolism and a healthy physical and mental life!
