In the movie "Her" a lonely man falls in love with the automated female voice on his phone... in Japan men are marrying their virtual girlfriends... bizarre?

Not really Catherine de Lange writing in New Scientist says humans do fall for inanimate objects and even fall in love with robots.

They can feel an incredible connection with partners on the net and tell them all their secrets with a lifelike sentences joined by unspoken blanks.

Many lonely people share their insights... past relationship problems and exchange racy details about each other melt and trust virtual partners with their vulnerability feeling exhilarated by this virtual intimacy.

Children get attached to their sentient toys... so adult humans too fall for virtual relationships and exchange sweet nothings.

The feeling of connecting becomes intense... creating moments of closeness as intimacy is squeezed on lonely online moments.

It is literally a virtual reality you co create with someone high on the internet drug of intimacy with intense chats seduced by the online persona of the partner.

There is turbulence too as in real life when you do not hear from your partner... the connection gets broken and you try stalking them online jealous and waiting for an explanation.

The internet has really blurred the reality of love for many men and women.

Many preferring the clean loneliness of a virtual relationship... then the messyness of a real... challenging... intimate relationship... yet really... deep in their hearts that is what virtual lovers yearn for!

They are just not willing to do the REAL work of creating a REAL world... vibrant... living... loving relationship.

When you accept that human relationships are messy... that is when you can get on and create REAL ones.

Because it is in the REAL world... that is where the DYNAMIC ACTION is.
