9 Ways Of Thinking That Trap You In A POVERTY Mindset

By Ange Fonce

Poverty Thinkers have an “negative inner monologue” that cripples them and keeps them trapped in a “poverty mindset” and makes them mentally weak... those who posses an “dynamic abundant mindset” think altogether differently.

I have written frequently about the “thinking”.... “strategies”... “methods” and “tactics” that enables... “negative thinkers” into “dynamic abundant thinkers” who “positively create” the life they want to live... instead of negatively reacting to the life they do not want.

Yet... to gain this “dynamic abundant mindset” requires clearing your mind of “negative poverty thinking” and rewiring the “brain neuron network” patterns that make you less effective and cripple you... keeping you trapped in a self defeating... self sabotaging... depressed “negative poverty mindset.”

So Do You Share These Dysfunctional “Poverty Mindset” Thinking Patterns...?

1... "It is other peoples fault I am failing."

The inner monologue of the “poverty mindset”...

"Life is bad and nothing works for me... I am always unlucky... I need to find out who is not pulling their weight so I can weed them out... it is all their fault... they seemed so promising when I meet them... and they just have not worked out... if they are going to survive with me... it is going to be pretty much up to them."

What “dynamic abundant thinkers” think instead...

"I will need every ones help to turn this around... and we are working together for success!"

2... "Bad government is killing us and ruining our lives."

The inner monologue of the “poverty mindset”...

"My life is suffering because the economy is down... the government is inept... and the banks are full of crooks.... there is nothing I can do to change any of that other than complain about it... as frequently and as loud as possible."

What “dynamic abundant thinkers” think instead...

"There is always a silver lining... an opportunity that presents itself... I just have to find it... and make the most of it to my benefit... and the benefit of others."

3... "I need a new strategy immediately!"

The inner monologue of the “poverty mindset”...

"My plan is proving more difficult than I expected... I am encountering obstacles and not growing as quickly as I thought it... nothing is working out as I want it to... the problem must be my strategy... so I need to go back to square one and create a brand new strategy... even though it means scrapping everything I have done so far and starting from scratch... I am such a loser."

What “dynamic abundant thinkers” think instead...

"I must decide how to overcome these obstacles... be flexible and work with the problems to find solutions and keep moving forward."

4... "I am way too busy to lay groundwork and plan for anything."

The inner monologue of the “poverty mindset”...

"It is chaotic enough around here with all the problems I have getting things done... I am trying to get rid of the chaos in my life so I can get some work done... I wish I could find time to work through basic issues and prevent future crises... but what is important right now is I am busy dealing with all these dramas I have in my life."

What “dynamic abundant thinkers” think instead...

"I must find out and address the root problem even if it means I ignore dealing with a crisis."

5... "I am never successful because I am not good enough."

The inner monologue of the “poverty mindset”...

"Everyone knows that if you are beautiful... slim... successful the world will beat a path to your door... since nobody is beating a path to my door... the problem must be that I am not good enough... so my priority should be improving how I look... then I will be good enough.”

What “dynamic abundant thinkers” think instead...

"How can I personal develop myself to be the best I can be... and present what is unique about me... that others will gain great value from... in knowing the person I am?"

6... "No matter what... I must appear successful."

The inner monologue of the “poverty mindset”...

"If something goes wrong... then everyone will realize that I am not as clever or successful as they thought... so if I am not 100% sure of the outcome... it is best to avoid the risk... if I cannot avoid the risk... then my number one job is managing and keeping up appearances so that I do not look like a failure... even if things fail... I must look good."

What “dynamic abundant thinkers” think instead...

"I would rather do something bold and fail publicly than timidly do nothing... you cannot win and be successful if you are not out there taking risks... playing in the game of life... better to fail doing your very best... then to fail by doing nothing at all."

7... "It is OK for me to break promises."

The inner monologue of the “poverty mindset”...

"Being held accountable and responsible  for the things I say I am going to do and cannot do is scary and difficult... so I lie to keep others of my back... so I am justified in making promises I cannot possibly keep and failing to keep the promises I make."

What “dynamic abundant thinkers” think instead...

"Trust is what builds relationships and holds them together... and as I am authentic and conduct myself with integrity... when I give my word to do things I know I can do and will get done... I will keep my word and those things will get done... so I only will only give my word to things that I know I will keep."

8... "It is my way or the highway."

The inner monologue of the “poverty mindset”...

"I have been doing it this way for years... my parents did it this way... others do it this way... I do it this way... you  need to do it the way I do it and if you do not it is because you are not listening... care or love me... I simply do not have time to sit down and have discussions with you about what you think should be different... and what you think needs to change."

What “dynamic abundant thinkers” think instead...

"To be personally successful... I will need people and social skills to gain the cooperation... knowledge... skills... experience and understanding of everyone on the team... so we all work together for success."

9... "My people are like my children."

The inner monologue of the “poverty mindset”...

"I started this so I am in charge and the head of the family... my people are my children and like children should do exactly what I tell them to do... if they do not... I will just have to call them out... and give them a verbal spanking... or a beating."

What “dynamic abundant thinkers” think instead...

"My friends... my family... my clients... employees are responsible adults who deserve to be treated with respect... and valued for who they are... if there are problems... I will listen to them and discus those problems to seek solutions we both agree and cooperative on... and move forward to prosper together."

Now... what type of “thinking” do you do?

Thank you and may you enjoy a Prosperous and Dynamic day!

Yours Sincerely

How You FRAME Your Thinking Can Be The Difference
Between Success And Failure

By Ange Fonce

The words you use do not just "express" what you are "thinking" and "feeling"... they also tell your brain "how to think and feel."

So "self talk" has a major "impact" of your life... you come from a "pessimistic frame"... what I call the "poverty mindset"... then that is what you will "create" in your life... "pessimism... poverty... loser."
