4 Tactics To Develop A Powerful Positive Attitude

Developing a "positive attitude" to life is a real “bonus" for your "mental and physical" health..

In the world we live in today... possessing a “positive attitude" is becoming a “must” if you want any degree of well being and “success” in life.

It is so easy to notice the “negative” things in life and ignore the “positive” things... it never ceases to amaze me that people can have a great time... lots of “positive experiences”... and yet they have a “bad” moment... and that “negative experience”... gets ALL the attention! 

If you are looking to live a healthier... fulfilling... successful life... developing a more “positive” attitude is one of the ways to get started... you see... “attitude”... be it “positive” or “negative” has a MAJOR effect on you health.... both physically and mentally. 

When you master the skill of a “positive attitude”... you can master the skill of just anything within your limitations.

Here are a few tactics to help you develop a positive attitude...

Tactic 1... Laugh More

It comes to us naturally... it banishes stress... and yes it can make your attitude change for the better... laughing releases endorphins... a feel “pleasure chemical"... once you get the endorphins running through your veins... it has a big physical effect on your bodies physiology... and on your minds psychology... so do not be afraid to laugh... let it out. 

Laugh at yourself... laugh with yourself... laugh at yourself... laugh for no reason... you will like it.

Tactic 2... Notice The Positive Perspective

Are you having a bad day? 

Fight the temptation to whine and complain about everything and anything... really...is that going to make you feel and function any better? 

Instead... close your eyes... take a few deep breaths... calm yourself down and relax and engage in “positive self talk”... which can change your internal  dialogue from a “negative mindset” to a more “positive mindset”... and when you open your eyes...  then observe the beauty of the earth you live on... the “positive nature" of the  life you live... it also helps to say your observation out loud like... 

"Wow... I have a lot of good things going on for me really.”

It is all a matter of “perspective”... to often we let the “negative experiences” get blown out of all  proportion to what is “really”... going on in our lives... and that “distorts”... our “perception” of reality.   

Tactic 3... Comparing

You may look at your life and think... 

“It cannot get any worse than how it is now."

Well it can... and it can be better too! 

Many people around the world face a far more “challenging” existence... day by day... much more than either me or you... so think next time... is your complaint really worth complaining about? 

Sometimes I have no option and I have to accept processed food... as most processed food is very "unhealthy" to eat and put in your body... I avoid such food as much as possible... I have a million and one reasons in my mind why I should not be eating such food. 

And then I think to myself... what are you doing? 

Some people have to go day by day just having rice or sort through bins... or starve with nothing at all... that realization banishes all negative thoughts and humbles me... plus also the thought that the person sharing with me... is being "generous."

Tactic 4... Physical Exercise

Remember me talking about endorphins? 

Well exercise is also a good creator of these feel good chemicals... exercise is a whole other topic in itself... and to put it shortly... do anything that will get your heart rate pumping... unless you have a severe medical condition. 

Skip rope... run instead of walk to your destination... it does not have to be a hard core workout routine to achieve this goal... not only will you feel more positive... you will also feel proud and optimistic knowing you did your body and mind a favour by doing something healthy and positive... by then all negative thoughts in your head will be no more.

These four basic attitude boosters will surely brighten your day... just remember, there has to be a balance in everything.... so when you do complain or criticize some things...  make sure it is worth doing so... and you complaint is of “value”... that helps make “positive” improvement.

And no matter what... make sure you balance this out with looking on the bright side of life.

As always... leave a man or woman all the "better" for "knowing" you.
